has anyone got any tutorials or info on how to do good abstract and photo manipulative images?... like stuff that is surreal- merging of images with added vector colour... wish i could find a better way to describe it...

could it be info for GIMP 2.6?... but photoshop is absolutely fine too... thanks a bunch ;-)
